The octopussy’s

Genre: Pop punk / Punk / Rock

The Octopussys is a 5 piece melodic punkrock band formed in 2005, influenced by the era where bands like Lagwagon, No Use For A Name, Pulley, Ten Foot Pole ruled the scene. Combining this style of punkrock with their own and more modern elements was their mission. After playing some shows, getting an extra guitarist and replacing their first singer, they released their first 6-tracked demo in 2008.

Shortly afterwards they went on their first international tour and also performed a lot more at all kinds of Belgian venues. At one of these shows they became friends with the Belgian Skatepunk band “State of Mine” and decided to record a split-cd together, which was recorded at Penthouse Studio and released in May 2009 on Kickass Records, followed by many gigs in own country and abroad.

In 2010 the band performed less frequently to focus on writing their first full album, which will be released in 2011 on Funtime Records.

The Octopussys shared the stage with bands like A Wilhelm Scream, Useless ID, Rentokill, Bomb The Music Industry, The Undeclinables, I against I, Mute and played shows in Belgium, UK, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Norway and Denmark.

Shellcase

Genre: Alternative / Pop / Rock

SHELLCASE is a Belgian power-trio that’s plays ‘post-grunge-rock’… Their debut album ‘Dead Memories’ was released April 15th 2010… August 2010, the band supported SOULFLY… October 2010, singer-guitarist Dave Varlet joined ALTER BRIDGE on stage to perform the song ‘Ghost of days gone by’ from their latest album ‘AB3′!

EN ROUTE TO ROCK! The road that led to the creation of the album ‘Dead Memories’ has never been straightforward… The band hit many speed bumps (bass-players), burned all red lights (neh-sayers), took a wrong turn (manager), survived a crash (losing record deal) and finally made a u-turn (re-recording the whole album). Yet, behind every curve, every hill, every roadblock, new opportunities arose. The power-trio finished the race using its spare called ‘determination’, its engine called ‘perseverance’ and its insurance policy called ‘faith’..

DEAD MEMORIES is a subtle mixture of strength, energy and melody, a solid and coherent album that explores the darker side of human behaviour. Dead Memories deals with internal struggles, the longing for freedom, second chances, hope, forgiveness, the purity of love, and all those demons hidden deep inside of us… SHELLCASE wants to be the band people want to see, hear and talk about..

Brand New Mark

Genre: Metal

The band was formed in April 2007. The music style we call : Heavy-Groovy-B-Tuned-Thrash-Metal. We play everthing, if it sounds good, heavy and groovy! Marco ( guitar/backing vovals ), Robin ( drums ) and Sick ( Bass ) have been playing from the beginning in BNM. We’ve had 2 singers to February 2010. And from then, Marco has the lead-vocals and lead-guitar, and we recruited Kristof as second guitar-player that leads to more power, melody and solo’s! We have so far 1 demo-cd ( brand new mark, 6 songs, 2008 ) and 1 full-cd ( gathering of chaos, 9 songs, 2009 )! In August we started writing new songs.

Pitched Black

Genre: Rock

In the summer of 2006, four rock musicians decided to form a new band. It was Kris “Backer” (Lyrics/Guitar) who took initiative after the successful local rock band “Mindless” split. Along with Kris “ Paeme” ( ex Lazy Bitch bass player), Ronny (ex Fist Attack, ex X-Creta guitarist) and Stijn (ex Coma, ex F-Gang Drummer), These four guys started right away by jamming together and rehearsal of a few covers (ranging from rock, hard rock to pure punk). The fact they all have their own influences and history, it was seen a real challenge to put something together in which each band member could find his satisfaction. Writing their own songs began fairly early while keeping a few covers to build up a set list. The focus of the songs lies in building up an arrangement containing melodic and brutal rockin’ pieces. There’s no easy description of the music genre they play.

Red Baron

Tot leven geroepen in het voorjaar van 2006 is Red Baron ondertussen uitgegroeid tot een ziekgestoorde band met een olifantendrol aan podiumervaring en een livereputatie van ditto omvang. De groep brengt een aanstekelijke mix van pop- en hardrock, voorgegaan door krachtige vrouwelijke vocalen en ondersteund door beukende ritmiek. Paramore en Zornik op een hoopje gegooid, zo je wil.Naast succesvolle passages op rock rally’s en festivalletjes allerhande is de groep ook te zien geweest op Rock Affligem en hebben ze al het podium gedeeld met relatieve grootmachten als Janez Detd, Madskat, Black Box Revelation, Zornik, Levellers, etc… De band werd ook geselecteerd voor Humo’s Rock Rally en maakt in Mei zijn opwachting in de finale van de Jospop Rally. Verder zijn op zowel de homepage als de myspace 3 nummers gratis en voor niets te beluisteren, maar live staat Red Baron al helemaal garant om u uit uw sokken te blazen.
